America's pastor is getting a good tan in the national spotlight. Cover of Time, plenary at CGI and now a conversation with professional atheist Sam Harris in Newsweek. A few comments, it's nice to see that Big Rick isn't any better at explaining and defending faith than the rest of us. While heartfelt, none of his answers are overwhelming. There is a very odd response about inerrancy that seems more political than pastoral. Overall, whoever is sitting in the Harris seat will always have an advantage in these forums. Faith is much easier to challenge than it is to defend.
