There is a great story about the way a loving pastor changed the life of a kid in need of some love. The kid then grew up to become the two-time governor of Tennessee. Turns out it's a rather popular tale. Jubilant Joel used it in his Detoxing Your Mind sermon on 9/27. Rick 4-O ended his Loving Like Jesus Loves You with the same story on 9/21. BC gives Joel the edge on who tells it better. If you want to compare for yourself, Rick doesn't get to it until around the 55 minute mark. Joel hits it around minute 17 just before the fly laying eggs in his kids' rabbits nose story (no, that's not a joke and yes - eeeehhh is the right response).
